Job Summary

This role is responsible for delivering comprehensive care and support to enhance the well-being of service recipients. The Therapeutic Respite Coach will provide respite services, including assistance with daily living activities and supervision of health and safety. The position also involves coaching service recipients using approved techniques and strategies, as well as implementing physical intervention when necessary to ensure safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and services to service recipients in various community settings.
  • Utilize Crisis Plans to address triggers causing dysregulation in service recipients and consult with other agency members as needed.
  • Conduct assessments outlined in individual Admission Plans and offer supports and therapeutic coaching in community settings, MHMR facilities, and other designated locations.
  • Assist service recipients in developing skills recommended by the clinical team and maintain timely communication with Coordinators and team members.
  • Drive company vehicles for individual transportation as outlined in the Admission Summary and use personal vehicles for designated coaching services.
  • Adhere to MHMR policies and procedures, demonstrate professionalism in all interactions, and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Complete all necessary documentation for agency and facility, fulfill required reading outlined in Crisis Prevention Services training curriculum, and maintain relevant training and licensure (if applicable).
Requirements
  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED
  • Defined Education: None
  • Preferences: Bachelor's Degree in Health and Human Services field
  • Years' Experience: Two (2) years
  • Defined Experience: Working with individuals with IDD or Behavior Health needs
  • License/Certifications: Valid Texas Driver's License
