We are a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) located in Jackson, Michigan. Our agency has expanded greatly over the years and now has our medical, dental, pharmacy and support services as well as four school-based health centers in the Jackson area.

**Job Summary**

The Patient Service Representative is responsible for maintaining the front office and representing the practice with professionalism. This position requires multi-tasking effortlessly, prioritizing efficiently, handling patient requests, placing outbound calls to patients, and handling all administrative tasks with a positive attitude.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Maintain the front office with a warm, welcoming, and professional atmosphere.
  • Enter and verify demographic information into the electronic medical record system.
  • Collect co-payments and past due balances, ensuring all money is accounted for by completing the end of day process to balance both the electronic and physical cash drawer.
  • Schedule patient appointments by consistently and accurately utilizing department scheduling guidelines.
  • Check the in-basket daily and complete pending tasks.
  • Assist with waitlist and administrative duties.

**Requirements:**

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Previous medical office experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Demonstrates understanding and appreciation for the diversity of CFH patients and CFH employees.

**Salary Information:**

The estimated salary for this position is approximately $45,000-$55,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. The actual salary may vary based on individual circumstances.
