Day Shift (First Shift)
Sentara Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory team at Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton, Virginia. This is a full-time position with day shift hours.
$15,000 Sign-On Bonus Available for Eligible Candidates
Role Responsibilities:
- The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for delivering a proficient level of nursing care, utilizing the nursing process as a framework for critical thinking.
- The practice standards (assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, health education, and evaluation) alongside the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally competent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality assurance, resource management, and environmental health) form the basis of professional nursing.
- The RN must possess the clinical expertise and competencies required for specific clinical settings.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with approximately 15 on-call days per month (approximately every 3rd or 4th weekend).
Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum of ASN or RN Diploma required; BSN or MSN preferred.
- Licensure: RN licensure is mandatory. BLS certification within 90 days of hire and ACLS certification within one year.
- Experience: Previous experience in critical care (ICU, ED, etc.) or catheterization lab is strongly preferred. Experience in circulating and monitoring invasive cardiac procedures, endovascular procedures, and interventional radiology is advantageous.
