Electrical Automation Specialist

As a Controls Field Technician II at Path Engineering, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and editing control systems, supporting the commissioning of programmable logic controls (PLCs), and collaborating with Integration Engineers. This role involves independent work, handling high-pressure scenarios, and interacting with customers. Clear communication with project stakeholders and effective collaboration with lead Integration Engineers are essential.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and edit control systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Support the commissioning of PLCs and collaborate with Integration Engineers.
- Work independently and handle high-pressure scenarios.
- Interact with customers and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
- High school diploma or AS Degree with equivalent, applied experience.
- 5 years' experience working with electricity and proficiency in reading and wiring from electrical schematics.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to stay calm in high-pressure situations.
- Experience with PLC Software (Studio or Logix 5000) or equivalent.
- Physical Abilities: Remain stationary for up to 50% of a shift/work hours and while on job sites, must be able to walk and remain standing for most of the shift.
- Ability to drive and maintain a clean driving record.
- Willingness to work non-standard hours (nights and weekends).
- Ability to pass a TSA background check and initial background and drug screenings.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
