Job Description
As a Part Time Teller I, you will be responsible for engaging with members, completing financial transactions, and offering products and services to enhance their financial lives. This role requires a strong understanding of Credit Union products and services, as well as excellent verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Member Service: Provide friendly, professional, and personal service to all members, ensuring that their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Financial Transactions: Process member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments, while maintaining accurate records and adhering to Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Product and Service Promotion: Cross-sell Credit Union products and services based on member needs, enhancing their financial well-being and fostering long-term relationships.
- Problem-Solving: Assist with problem-solving, troubleshooting, and provide support in all areas of the branch, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional member experiences.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the team to achieve daily responsibilities, including opening and closing procedures, balancing of the coin machine, vault, ATM, and card machine, and closing SDB vault.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- Cash Handling Experience**: Six months of cash handling practice acquired through direct Credit Union/Banking or retail experience is preferred.
- Knowledge and Skills**: Possess professional verbal communication skills, ten-key calculator, and basic computer skills, with accuracy with numbers and attention to detail.
Estimated Salary
The estimated salary for this role is $42,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
Work Environment
As a Part Time Teller I, you will work in an open-concept workspace/environment, with regular exposure to cash handling and potential hazardous conditions. Employees are trained to minimize risk and follow detailed instructions and procedures.
