Fire Protection Specialist

International Fire Protection is seeking a highly skilled Life Safety Inspector to join our team. As a Life Safety Inspector, you will be responsible for testing and inspecting fire and life safety systems, including fire alarm, fire sprinkler, fire extinguishers, backflow preventers, and special hazards fire protection systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough inspections of fire and life safety systems to ensure compliance with NFPA standards and industry regulations.
- Provide accurate and detailed inspection reports, including documentation of improvements and complications.
- Assist in selling IFP services for identified deficiencies.
- Ensure customers receive high-quality service through quality courteous service, experience, knowledge, and training.
- Maintain positive customer relationships and review inspection results with customers.
- Turn in required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and company vehicle in good working order.
- Stay current with code requirements, industry changes, and obtain NICET certifications.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Mechanical and math aptitude.
- Exceptional computer skills.
- Professional and organized.
- Valid state driver's license.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Any trade experience preferred; at least 2 years' trade experience a plus.
- Previous experience in the fire protection industry preferred.
- NICET Certification 2 or 3 is preferred (or willingness and ability to obtain).
Industrial, commercial, and residential building environment with moderate to high noise levels. Comfort with working at heights. Mostly a physically demanding role with standing, walking stairs, and climbing ladders. May need to lift objects up to 50 pounds. Ability to be on the phone and computer consistently throughout the day.
