Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department to patients of all ages. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to prioritize care based on physical and psychosocial needs, and demonstrate the ability to use equipment specific to the Emergency Department.
Responsibilities:
- Provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting
- Coordinates care planning with other disciplines
- Communicates with physicians about changes in patient status, symptomatology, and results of diagnostic studies
- Demonstrates the ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment
Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Current Registered Nurse New Jersey State license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications within 1 year of hire
- A minimum of 8 hours of education every two years in basic trauma assessment, intervention, and stabilization
- A minimum of one (1) year RN experience required to qualify for the sign-on bonus
