As a Shift Lead at Walgreens, you will be responsible for opening and closing the store in the absence of store management, ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. This includes starting up required systems, handling cash, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage with customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Assist with and coach other team members to work with warehouse and vendor ordering processes.
• Responsible for registering all related sales on assigned cash register, including records of scanning errors, price verifications, and voids.
• Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions and assisting in reverse logistics.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure proper signage is displayed at the store to support accurate pricing of products.
• Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment as necessary.
• Ensure the store is clean, neat, and orderly, and assist with exterior and interior maintenance as needed.
• Support the execution of the Pickup program and have working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products, such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• Obtains and maintains valid PTCB or ExCPT certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
