We are seeking a highly skilled Research Engineer to join our team at Hilmar Cheese Company. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for driving innovation and improving our products and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop new products and processes to produce high-quality functional cheese and dairy-derived food ingredients.
- Design and conduct research experiments using analytical instruments and process equipment to optimize performance and improve product quality.
- Evaluate new equipment and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop standard operating procedures and train operators on new products and processes.
- Troubleshoot problems with manufacturing processes and provide technical support to Sales, Marketing, QA, and Manufacturing teams.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., food science, chemical engineering, biology) plus 3 years' related experience or Master's degree.
- Strong knowledge of research principles, process engineering science, and technology fundamentals.
- Ability to model static and dynamic process systems and understand experimental design theory, methods of data analysis, and basic statistics.
