Key Responsibilities- Technical Development and Direction: Participate in the technical development and direction of identified emerging technology/decarbonization technology markets.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with technology suppliers within identified technology market(s).
- Proposal Management: Manage and assist with technical proposal efforts for emerging technology opportunities.
- Client Interface: Heavy interface with customers and clients across all levels and facets of an organization (internal and external) to identify, understand, and cultivate project and technology implementation drivers and goals.
- Market Understanding: Understand project, technology, industry, and market economic conditions.
- Business Development: Support business development efforts to identify and define opportunities and pursue and capture new projects.
- Project Management: Manage client and team relationships on multiple assigned projects to help drive the direction of the projects and ensure that client and project goals and objectives are being met.
- Technology Oversight: Participate in technology/technical oversight of assigned projects/technologies from early front-end development efforts through detailed design and construction.
- Feasibility Studies: Participate in the execution of feasibility studies, technology evaluations, and conceptual designs as required to support client/project objectives and initiatives.
- Market Trends: Actively maintain current knowledge and understanding of market trends and technologies. Provide periodic updates to management in support of strategic initiatives, as well as marketing and sales efforts.
- Client Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Business Development: Identify opportunities and support business development efforts to prepare submittals, proposals, presentations, contract negotiations, and related activities.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and representation of the company through active participation in conferences and technical seminars, including activities such as writing papers, delivering presentations, and/or supporting conference marketing initiatives and events.
- Mentorship: Mentor project staff by providing guidance, instructions, and technical advice.
- Travel: Travel to support project site visits/work, trade shows, industry conferences, and meetings with clients and equipment suppliers.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, business, or related field.
- Experience: 3 years related professional experience.
- Skills: Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships. Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
- Abilities: Excellent planning and analytical skills. Ability to devise new approaches to problems encountered. Due to the dynamic nature of the energy market, the ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies is a must.
