Job Summary

NextEra Energy is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our Palms Management Services, LLC team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in collecting, cleaning, and integrating data from various sources to support business intelligence activities. Your expertise in database management and governance will ensure the accuracy and integrity of our data warehouse or data lake. Additionally, you will assist in generating data reports and visualizations to provide actionable insights to our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, clean, and integrate data from various sources to support business intelligence activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand data needs and contribute to data collection processes.
  • Develop and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate various data sources into our data warehouse or data lake.
  • Support database management and governance to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Generate data reports and visualizations to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • Understanding of programming languages such as Python.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, or Plotly) is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) is desirable.
  • Familiarity with data integration tools (e.g., AWS Glue).

Job Requirements
  • Assist department with assigned projects.
  • Complete challenging projects and assignments.
  • Presents final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship.
  • Assumes responsibility for own travel, lodging, and transportation necessary to be available for the program.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • High school grad / GED.
  • Maintain active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program.
  • Maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
