About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controls and Accrual Analyst to join our team at Allied Staff Augmentation Partners. As a key member of our financial team, you will be responsible for providing support in the areas of cost accounting, financial analyses, and reporting, as well as internal controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accruals and Journal Entries: Prepare and post monthly accruals journal entries to ensure accurate allocation of expenses and revenue to the appropriate periods.
  • Financial Reporting: Provide essential assistance in the preparation of the Quarterly Financial presentation and consolidated financial package, contributing to accurate and insightful reporting.
  • Monthly Financial Package: Collaborate in the production of the Monthly Financial Package, ensuring timely delivery of accurate financial information to internal stakeholders.
  • Project Reconciliation: Coordinate project reconciliation process with Engineers based on construction completion milestones, analyze and identify variances between SAP and Engineers final scope of work for material, labor, fees, abatement, and other associated costs.
  • Financial Closeout: Prepare financial closeout of project in SAP, including closeout of all contract dollar commitments, verification of 100% billing for project cost recovery, preparation of all accounting journal entries to reconcile SAP costs, and final closeout memo.
  • Support to Financial Controls Staff: Provide support to Financial Controls staff as needed.
  • Billing and Documentation: Distribute all billing memos, closeout memos, journal entries to Accounting and Billing departments and for updates to Primavera.
Requirements
  • Excellent Organizational and Planning Skills: Required to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills: Required to effectively communicate with customers, program staff, and management.
  • Strong Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Required to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Strong Knowledge of SAP: Preferred to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in Cost Accounting and/or Accounting Methods and Theory: Required to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with Primavera: Preferred to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Required to analyze data and identify trends.
  • General Understanding of Fee Schedules: Required to perform tasks efficiently.
  • General Understanding of Contract Terms and Conditions: Preferred to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to Provide Support on Statewide Initiatives: Required to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting: Preferred to perform tasks efficiently.
