Position Levels

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide insights to sales and operations regarding technical and business aspects of construction or direct owner projects, including estimating and resource needs.
  • Ensure accurate project booking and completion of necessary documentation for internal and external purposes.
  • Facilitate access to project documents and estimates for all relevant personnel to enhance productivity.
  • Assess customer expectations against Climatec's estimates or contractual scope and provide feedback as necessary.
  • Identify and address potential project challenges.
  • Forecast project costs accurately and monitor them over time to meet budgetary goals.
  • Manage timely invoicing and engage in collections to reduce aging accounts.
  • Coordinate material orders and timing with the Material Coordinator to optimize cash flow and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors or internal teams to maximize installation value.
  • Complete monthly Work In Progress (WIP) re-forecasts.
  • Recommend technical solutions to sales and operations, assisting during the estimating phase.
  • Identify change order opportunities and work with sales to document and pursue them.
  • Support Climatec and other contractors in resolving building operational issues beyond standard controls.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal staff to ensure accurate labor tracking and productivity goals are met.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to assist in accurate estimation, design, installation, and training for building systems.
  • Engage with external organizations, such as consulting engineers and building owners, to ensure timely engineering.
  • Support ongoing service engineering for existing building systems.
  • Review engineered submittals for adherence to scope, budget, and customer expectations.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.
Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • High school diploma minimum; a two-year technical degree in Electronics is preferred, with an undergraduate degree in Electrical or Construction Management being ideal.
  • At least 2 years of experience in HVAC, Building Automation, and Project Management.
  • Basic understanding of computer operating systems and troubleshooting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to empathize with others' issues and work creatively towards successful outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in HVAC, Building Automation, and Project Management.
  • Experience with programming and working with electronic equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical and electronic circuitry.
  • Understanding of AC power circuitry.
  • Deep knowledge of DDC or special systems controlling buildings.
  • Experience providing integration support for various building systems.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials.
  • Willingness to spend considerable time on construction sites.
  • Capability to climb stairs or ladders as needed.
  • Maintain a satisfactory driving record.
  • Physical ability to kneel, stoop, and crawl.
