Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Actalent. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow established laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, and testing.
  • Perform various laboratory tests, including chemistry, hematology, and immunology.
  • Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, including instruments and equipment calibration.
  • Adhere to quality control policies and procedures, documenting all QC activities and instrument maintenance.
  • Process incoming orders for laboratory testing and send specimens to reference laboratories as needed.
  • Record and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in proficiency testing and quality assurance programs.
  • Prepare and analyze blood smears and perform complete WBC differentials.
  • Perform microscopic examination of urinary sediment.
  • Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from established performance criteria.
Requirements
  • ASCP/AMT Certification required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a medical laboratory setting preferred.
  • Generalist experience preferred.
Work Environment

This is a fully on-site position with a standard Monday-Friday schedule, with no weekends or nights.
