Job Overview
BBAE Systems seeks a skilled Laboratory Technician III for their fast-paced Lab Services team in Hudson, NH. This position requires the ability to support various tasks in the day-to-day operation of engineering labs.

The successful candidate will work directly with program(s) and lab users directed by the Site Lab Manager. Key responsibilities include:
  • Overseeing engineering labs and programs, collaborating with program personnel and lab users, and assisting in maintaining schedules and milestones.
  • Performing audits/inspections for personnel and product safety, asset management, external and internal quality, and familiarizing themselves with the current SH&E Manual and periodically reviewing for updates.
  • Obtaining a Secret Security Clearance, learning the differences between Unclassified and Classified areas, and performing various Metrology tasks including databases to track calibration recall, scheduling, tracking, and record keeping.
  • Managing chemical inventories, ordering, inspecting, and disposing of chemicals, creating new part numbers when necessary, and monitoring Hazardous Material/Waste Disposition.
  • Learning and remaining current with BAE Systems official Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) procedure, becoming proficient in procuring, installing, and certifying ESD lab articles, and performing semi-annual verification.
  • Learning and remaining current with BAE Systems official Foreign Object Damage/Debris (FOD) procedure, assisting Sr. Lab Technicians in keeping labs to their assigned FOD level, and learning and utilizing the RFID system to tag and load equipment into the existing data base and track tagged equipment.
  • Creating work orders where the work includes facilitating Plant Engineering or custodial services, using internal purchasing options to acquire computer/network materials to satisfy the lab users IT requirements, and ensuring licensing software is also purchased.
  • Delivering, stocking, inventorying, and removing various materials and equipment within the lab following the appropriate BAE Systems guidelines.
  • Posting equipment PM (Periodic Maintenance) schedules and records, coordinating appropriate personnel, and performing initial inspection of incoming materials and verifying the packing list.
  • Using company, credit card, and manual requisitions to procure specified non-capital materials for labs and programs, creating shipping paperwork using the ISTAR system, and initiating DD1149 (Government Shipper) as required.

Compensation Package
This full-time position comes with a competitive salary ranging from $53,020 to $84,810 per year. The actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including qualifications, skills, and experience.

  7. Delivering and inventorying materials and equipment within the lab.
  8. Coordinating personnel and performing initial inspection of incoming materials.
  9. Procuring non-capital materials for labs and programs and creating shipping paperwork.
