About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Principal Architect to lead the design and development of our on-die interconnect technology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining the architecture of our interconnect system, ensuring it meets the performance, power, and area requirements of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the architecture of the on-die interconnect, including topology and routing algorithms
  • Work with the AI accelerator team to understand the target workloads and compute and memory needs of the product
  • Balance features, performance, power, and area to create a solution that meets the product requirements
  • Collaborate with the performance modeling team to evaluate critical metrics such as bandwidth and latency
  • Ensure seamless communication between the on-die interconnect and die-to-die and chip-to-chip interfaces

About You

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Principal Architect with a strong background in interconnect design and development. You should have a deep understanding of cache-coherency protocols and experience with high-performance, high-bandwidth on-die coherent interconnects.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science and 12 years of experience; or MS degree and 8 years of experience; or PhD degree and 5 years of experience
  • Experience architecting and/or designing high-performance, high-bandwidth on-die coherent interconnects
  • Deep understanding of cache-coherency protocols
  • Knowledge and understanding of AMBA suite of interface protocols
