Job Summary

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for exercising professional social work practice skills and judgment in planning, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating residential program operations.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate compliance with VHA Directive governing program operations of VHA Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Programs.
  • Assess and identify administrative and policy development needs and make recommendations to the Director, BHCL.
  • Provide assessment and safety screenings for new admits to the Residential units.
  • Document all patient care in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in discipline-specific peer review process.
  • Ensure that staff provide full professional responsibility for assigned duties and assure coordinated, integrated, restorative psychosocial rehabilitation for eligible Veterans.
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Must be licensed or certified by a state at the advanced practice level.
  • Must have a Master's degree in social work (MSW) from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
  • Must have at least one year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Telework is not available for this position.

The selected applicant will be required to complete an online onboarding process and participate in the seasonal influenza vaccination program and the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination program.
