Job Title: Instrumentation and Controls Technician

Veolia North America is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Technician to join our team. As an Instrumentation and Controls Technician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining metering and recording instruments, controlling devices, data logging and display equipment, communications, and telemetry systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, test, repair, inspect, and maintain metering and recording instruments, controlling devices, data logging and display equipment, communications, and telemetry systems.
  • Prepare and maintain a variety of records, including maintenance records and reports.
  • Make verbal and written reports of work activities.
  • Perform related work as required.
Requirements:
  • Four (4) years of full-time experience as an Instrumentation and Controls Technician, performing skilled work in both mechanical and electro-mechanical repairs or electronic circuitry repair.
  • Two (2) years of experience working on industrial instrumentation and controls.
  • Possession of a high school diploma or its equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Seven (7) years of full-time experience as an Instrumentation and Controls Technician I, including at least three (3) years of full-time experience equivalent to that of an Instrumentation and Controls Technician I within the District.
  • Passing of District-approved proficiency evaluations for diagnosing and making changes to PLC and SCADA software and hardware.
Working Conditions:

The Instrumentation and Controls Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to industrial equipment, electrical systems, and hazardous materials. The technician will be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme temperatures. The technician will also be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
