Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver educational resources and training sessions for new and existing coders
  • Analyze internal data metrics to identify areas for quality improvement
  • Collaborate with vendors and departments to implement coding and documentation best practices

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in hospital trauma 1 coding
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Associate's degree in HIM, healthcare, or related field
  • Approved American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) or American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) coding credential
