Key Responsibilities- Mentorship and Guidance: Provide academic support and guidance to students, serving as a role model and facilitator.
- Teaching and Learning: Demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and the teaching/learning process, applying your skills and experience to your assigned teaching schedule.
- Assessment and Improvement: Participate in and contribute to assessment activities of courses/curriculum and programs, utilizing a continuous improvement plan set forth by the University.
- Class Materials and Syllabi: Regularly contribute to the improvement of class materials and syllabi within a shared governance culture.
- Scholarly Activities: Maintain scholarly activities and participate in professional growth and service in accordance with university policies.
- Student Success: Advance our commitment and focus on the students we serve, and their success as healthcare professionals.
- Technology and Resources: Fully leverage our innovative technologies and resources, such as our Simulation and Innovation Labs.
- Clinical Responsibilities: If working with students in a clinical setting, assume complete responsibility for students in clinical facilities, clarify clinical expectations with students, and utilize care planning time to direct students to available resources needed for clinical preparation.
- Experience: A minimum of two (2) years prior experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care and a minimum of one year experience in the field in which they teach.
- Education: A Master's degree in nursing and professional nurse licensure required.
- Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products, especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and other MS office products as needed, and working with online learning management systems to further engage the student learning process.
