Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Leadership: Serve as the sole Mechanical Engineer, responsible for designing all mechanical components of our products.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and translate their concepts into functional prototypes and final products.
  • End-to-End Development: Oversee the entire design process, from initial discovery calls to manufacturing and final delivery.
  • Design Focus:
  • 70% of your time will be dedicated to design work.
  • 30% will involve essential documentation and paperwork.
Must-Have Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks (open to those proficient in other CAD software willing to transition to SolidWorks).
  • Experience with motion control or linear motion control in designs.
Strongly Preferred:
  • 3-5+ years of experience in mechanical design.
  • Expertise in designing highly precise products with tight tolerances.
  • Experience with GD&T, designing machined and plastic parts, and coordinating with external machining teams.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience in the medical or scientific equipment industry.
  • Familiarity with setting up bills of materials and understanding the documentation process.
