Our state-of-the-art facilities include cutting-edge Electrophysiology (EP) and Catheterization (Cath) Labs, open-heart surgery suites, and pediatric units. Here, you will engage in routine procedures while also participating in groundbreaking advancements in cardiovascular care.

Your Role:

Position Overview:

  • Entry-level certified cardiovascular technologist.
  • Applies foundational skills in analytical and scientific methodologies.
  • Operates under close supervision, adhering to established standard operating procedures (SOP) and quality guidelines.
  • Assists in both diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
  • Independently responds to ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) emergencies.
  • Engages in scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring during procedures such as left heart catheterizations (LHC), right heart catheterizations (RHC), percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), STEMI management, fractional flow reserve/instantaneous wave-free ratios (FFR/iFR), intravascular ultrasounds (IVUS), and the use of Impella balloon pumps.
  • Ensures the highest standards of patient care and safety within the Heart Catheterization Laboratory.
  • Implements the philosophies, goals, policies, and procedures of Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare and the Heart Catheterization Laboratory.

Reporting Structure:
Reports to the Director of Invasive Cardiology.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.

Qualifications:

Education Requirements:

  • Associate degree in cardiovascular technology or radiologic technology from an accredited institution.

Experience Requirements:

  • No prior experience required.

Preferred Experience:

  • One (1) year of relevant job experience.

Certification and Licensure:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and one of the following: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification, Cardiovascular Technician (CVT) certification, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) credential, or other recognized certifications approved by Human Resources (HR). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within one (1) year of hire.
