The specialist will establish testing environments and execute performance assessments utilizing IO workload generation tools to replicate and analyze key customer reference workloads.

This role involves creating comprehensive technical documentation that delivers both detailed technical insights and high-level performance summaries for sales teams, systems engineers, partners, and clients.

As such, the ideal candidate should have substantial experience in deploying, assessing, or testing storage solutions and features, including but not limited to Dedupe, Compression, and NVMeOF mode, along with proficiency in automation scripting.

Compensation: The pay rate for this position ranges from $50 to $57 per hour, depending on expertise and years of experience.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in performance validation of hardware, including interaction with software and drivers in an enterprise setting across various operating systems.
  • Expertise in modern storage technologies, including both rotational and solid-state devices, as well as various interface standards such as SATA, SAS, and NVMe.
  • Deep understanding of HDD, SSD, and storage platform design and architecture.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience with any of the following storage products: Hitachi, Pure, EMC, or NetApp, in both block and file services.
  • At least 7 years of experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, Shell, etc.).
  • Thorough knowledge of key storage features (deduplication, compression, snapshot, replication, etc.), protocols (NFS, CIFS, TCP/IP, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, etc.), and related performance tuning.
  • Experience in performance analysis of storage solutions and their interaction with host systems.
  • Hands-on experience with various benchmarking tools such as Vdbench, FIO, IOmeter, and IOzone is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with different operating systems, including Linux, Hypervisors, and Windows.
