Job Title: Field Geologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Geologist to join our team at RESPEC. As a Field Geologist, you will be responsible for conducting fieldwork, collecting and analyzing geologic and groundwater data, and providing technical expertise to support our projects.

Job Summary

The Field Geologist position is a critical role that requires a strong background in geology, engineering, or a related field. You will work closely with our team to collect and analyze data, develop technical reports, and provide recommendations to clients. Responsibilities
  • Conduct fieldwork, including collecting and analyzing geologic and groundwater data
  • Develop and implement field sampling and testing plans
  • Analyze data and provide technical recommendations to clients
  • Prepare and present technical reports and presentations
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement project plans
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Geology, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university
  • 3+ years of experience in a related field
  • At minimum, a Geologist-in-Training certificate
  • Ability and willingness to regularly work in the field, sometimes for extended periods away from the office
Preferred Qualifications
  • Geologic and groundwater field data collection and analysis experience
  • Well drilling oversight, coring, packer, and aquifer performance testing experience
  • Technical report writing skills
  • Regulatory submittal (e.g., Water Use and/or Injection Well permitting) experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ArcGIS, AQTESOLV, STRATER, and/or other similar types of technical, hydrogeologic, engineering and water resource assessment and management related software
