Job Title: Environmental Engineer/Geologist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Engineer/Geologist to join our team at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC). As a Consultant with CEC, you will be involved in environmental projects and provide client-focused customer service in the manufacturing, energy, mining, and real-estate markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform engineering tasks such as due diligence, environmental site assessments, compliance audits, permitting, and multi-media site investigations.
  • Conduct field work consisting of environmental monitoring/sampling of soil, groundwater, and stormwater.
  • Interact with clients, contractors, and local government officials to impact the entire project from concept to final work product.
  • Travel may be required.

Qualifications:

  • 0-5 years professional engineering or related experience.
  • B.S. or M.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • E.I.T., F.E., or similar certification.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Environmental Engineering experience is a plus.
  • HAZWOPER training is a plus.
  • Missouri Department of Natural Resources Monitoring Well and Test Hole Installation Registration is a plus.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with due diligence, compliance and permitting, site assessments (Phase I and II), and subsurface investigations is a strong plus.
