Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CVOR Surgical Technologist to join our team at Emory University Hospital Midtown. As a CVOR Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for implementing and evaluating care of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients undergoing diagnostic and invasive surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and evaluate care of patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Provide care to patients with complex health issues
  • Serve as a clinical resource to staff
  • Participate in identification of cost containment activities
  • Monitor and maintain supplies and initiate purchases to ensure par levels
  • Plan for surgical procedure based on identified needs of surgeon and patient
  • Determine the equipment, materials, and resources needed to meet the patient procedure plan
  • Serve as clinical resource for Surgical Technologists in designated service line
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent job training
  • Certification in Surgical Technology preferred
  • Two years multispecialty experience with one year in a complex specialty area
  • Ability to function as a clinical expert in two or more complex specialty service lines
