Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CVOR Surgical Technologist to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for implementing and evaluating care of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients undergoing diagnostic and invasive surgical procedures.

This role requires a strong understanding of complex health issues and the ability to provide care to patients with multiple comorbidities.


Key Responsibilities

Implement and evaluate care of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients undergoing diagnostic and invasive surgical procedures
Provide care to patients with complex health issues and serve as a clinical resource to staff
Participate in identification of cost containment activities and monitor and maintain supplies
Plan for surgical procedures based on identified needs of surgeon and patient and implement interventions for identified patient problems
Determine the equipment, materials, and resources needed to meet the patient procedure plan

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent job training
Certification in Surgical Technology preferred
Two years multispecialty experience with one year in a complex specialty area
Ability to function as a clinical expert in two or more complex specialty service lines and have the ability to float to other complex service lines as needed
