Key Responsibilities:


Adhere to all health and safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and utilize the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) in production areas.

Ensure compliance with food quality and safety standards as per established quality protocols and Safe Quality Food requirements.


Verify that all products meet the specifications outlined in the SAP system, and perform analyses on raw materials, syrup batches, and treated water.

Maintain precise and clear records of all tests and retests conducted. Complete all required documentation (work orders, action reports, etc.) promptly.


Collaborate with various departments to enhance quality, boost efficiencies, increase yields, and eliminate non-compliant or damaged products.


Initiate production lines accurately and promptly by confirming the flavor to be processed, adjusting carbo-trol/flow mix settings, and verifying product parameters.


Conduct chemical and physical assessments on raw and intermediate processing materials, including packaging, to determine their acceptability.


Effectively manage flavor transitions by confirming the flavor to be processed, adjusting carbo-trol/flow mix settings, and verifying product parameters.

Evaluate finished products against established standards through audits to ensure the integrity of the product and packaging.


Monitor process control parameters to ensure proper equipment operation by performing secure seal, closure torque, and seaming checks.

Guarantee accurate test results by maintaining the proper operation, cleanliness, and calibration of laboratory equipment.

Maintain a clean laboratory environment at all times.


Utilize downtime effectively by assisting fellow technicians or production staff, organizing files, preparing reagents, photocopying audit sheets, checking held products, managing reference samples, reading micro plates, checking inventory supplies, and overseeing repacks.

Complete special projects and other reasonable tasks as assigned by the Lead Hand or Management.


When multiple shifts are in operation, communicate with the incoming technician regarding any issues that may impact production or scheduling, and ensure all equipment and workspaces are cleaned before leaving.

Ensure the floor is mopped if not already done. Wait for your replacement before departing the laboratory.

If your replacement is delayed, inform the lead hand on shift or contact the QA Manager.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Proficient in Excel, Word, SAP, and PowerPoint

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, results-oriented

Highly organized and detail-focused, adaptable to change

Proficiency Level:
Possesses a solid working knowledge of relevant subjects. Performs tasks under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and refers more complex matters to higher-level staff.

May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to junior staff.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Food Science, Quality, or a related field

A minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality within a manufacturing setting, preferably in the food or beverage industry

Familiarity with quality systems (GMP, HACCP, SQF) – certification preferred

Working Conditions:
Physical- Continuous standing or walking.

Visual/Sensory- This role requires regular attention with one or two senses at a time.

Work environment- The tasks are highly repetitive.

Mental Stress- There is significant pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy, or similar demands.
