We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Brook & Whittle Ltd. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing company-wide safety programs and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and promoting a culture of sustainability throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement safety programs and procedures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction and recycling programs.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safety procedures and protocols.
- Investigate and report on accidents and incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Monitor and report on safety metrics and trends, and develop strategies to improve safety performance.
- Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment leading environmental and safety compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop strategies to improve safety performance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
