Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Flight Test Instrumentation Manager to join our team at Wisk Aero. As a key member of our Aircraft Integration team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of flight test instrumentation solutions for our Gen6 aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Flight Test Instrumentation team, accountable for all aspects of the team's work and product delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Flight Test, Structures, Propulsion, and Avionics, to develop integrated and add-on flight test instrumentation solutions.
  • Develop and maintain mature processes and tools for the Gen6 program, ensuring efficient and effective flight test execution.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA CFR 14 Part 21 and other relevant airworthiness authorities.
  • Stay current on state-of-the-art instrumentation technologies to optimize mass, cost, efficiency, and reliability of flight test instrumentation solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering and 12 years of experience, or Master's degree in engineering with 8 years of experience, in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field.
  • Direct experience in aircraft development, flight test instrumentation, or complex airborne systems.
  • Proven leadership experience in high-stress environments, with a focus on safe and efficient flight testing.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
