Nutrition Assistant

We are seeking a Nutrition Assistant to join our team at Brookhaven Health Care Facility LLC in East Patchogue. As a Nutrition Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and nutrition of our residents by assisting with food preparation services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that each resident's meal, snack, and beverage align with their individual medical nutrition plans.
• Responsible for various aspects of kitchen work, including preparing and serving meals, dishwashing, stocking unit kitchenettes, working tray line, and setting tables for serving.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 16 years of age.
• Previous dietary experience preferred.
• High degree of personal cleanliness and hygiene required.
• Health status suitable for food service required.
• Ability to read and understand work assignments, as well as report verbally and provide written documentation as necessary.
• Respect for residents' privacy and rights; display of genuine concern and empathy for the elderly.
• Able to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness, and kindness.
• Qualities of responsibility, diplomacy, and ability to work well with fellow staff members.
• Physical endurance for frequent activity.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $35,000-$45,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, life insurance, and retirement/pension/401k plans.
