Job Summary

The University of Texas at Dallas is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join their Center for Engineering Innovation team.

The successful candidate will lead efforts in designing and manipulating CAD files for additive manufacturing, optimizing designs, improving printing outcomes, and facilitating fundamental exploration of printing capabilities.

As a key member of the team, the Project Engineer will coordinate with other engineers to facilitate the design and development of novel 3D printing tools, including scanning systems, for high-resolution additive manufacturing.

The Project Engineer will engage with academic, governmental, and industry partners to design and manufacture test specimens for research and development projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD design, tool design, and project management, with experience in additive manufacturing and resin-based printing systems.

Responsibilities
  • Enable exploration of additive manufacturing systems and materials
  • Facilitate design alterations and optimization
  • Explore new printing and post-processing methods
  • Lead academic and industrial projects
  • Mentor students in industry best practices
  • Communicate results to audiences
Requirements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field
  • Eight years of directly related experience in that engineering discipline
  • Experience with CAD design, tool design, and project management
  • Experience in additive manufacturing and resin-based printing systems
