Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Explosives Compliance Specialist to join our team at Axis Energy Administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations related to explosives safety.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement explosives safety programs to minimize potential safety hazards.
  2. Administer and evaluate explosives safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  3. Investigate explosive accident causes and recommend corrective methods for prevention.
  4. Provide liaison between our company and federal and state regulatory agencies.
  5. Coordinate and facilitate preparation for regulatory compliance audits.
  6. Develop and assist in maintaining Company Standard Operating Procedures and other Compliance programs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5-7+ years' experience in explosives compliance.
  • Advanced understanding of and experience with explosives and energetic materials EH&S, licensing, and compliance.
  • Experience with developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), conducting audits, and advising on best practices related to logistics, compliance, and safe handling of explosives.
  • Professional integrity, confidentiality, and sense of responsibility and accountability.
  • Highly organized and efficient worker; skilled at multi-tasking.
  • Effective communication skills - verbal and written; attentive listener.
  • Ability to clear eligibility on Axis pre-employment requirements.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to various operations locations.
