Job Summary

The Plumbing Foreman/Plumbing Superintendent plays a critical role in overseeing project teams, ensuring seamless execution, and driving business growth. This key position requires a highly skilled individual with expertise in team management, safety protocols, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Supervise project teams, including team leads, journeymen, apprentices, contractors, and laborers, to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Team Management: Set clear goals and expectations, document progress, and approve timecards for team members.
  • Safety and Quality: Implement and enforce safety protocols, conduct regular safety assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Communication and Leadership: Foster open communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders, and lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and integrity.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project progress, safety incidents, and quality control measures.
Requirements
  • Experience: Five (5) years+ in mechanical contracting, with a proven track record as a construction foreman or similar function.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Journeyman License required.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, specifications, and details; effective planning, organizing, delegating, and controlling work processes; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

The Plumbing Foreman/Plumbing Superintendent will be required to work in a fast-paced construction environment, with frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and varying weather conditions. The ability to lift 50 lbs, twist, crouch, work overhead, and climb ladders is essential. A strong commitment to safety and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances are essential qualities for this role.
