Job Description

Job Overview:

The Work In Me, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Associate Attorney to join our Family Law department. As a Junior Associate Attorney, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of experienced attorneys and support staff to provide exceptional legal services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct Comprehensive Legal Research: Conduct thorough research and analysis on various legal issues related to family law, including divorce, child custody, and property division.
  2. Support Senior Attorneys: Assist senior attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and mediation, including drafting legal documents, conducting research, and gathering evidence.
  3. Draft Legal Documents: Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, agreements, and other legal correspondence.
  4. Case Management: Assist with case management tasks, including document review, discovery, and trial preparation.
  5. Client Communication: Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders professionally and courteously.
  6. Interviews and Depositions: Interview clients and witnesses to gather information and evidence, and attend court hearings, depositions, and client meetings under the supervision of senior attorneys.
  7. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
  8. Professional Development: Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents relevant to the firm's practice areas, and participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance legal skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  2. Admission to the Bar: Admission to the State Bar of Texas or eligibility to waive in.
  3. Excellent Research and Writing Skills: Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  4. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  5. Effective Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Team Player: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  7. Family Law Experience: Familiarity with family law procedures and principles (minimum 5 years experience required).
  8. Professionalism: Commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards and professionalism.
