Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Development and Implementation: Plan, develop, implement, maintain, and evaluate social services policies and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Service Delivery: Deliver high-quality social work programs and services to patients and communities, ensuring that services are accessible, effective, and responsive to their needs.
  • Staff Management: Manage a team of social workers, including those deployed to multiple departments and locations, providing guidance, support, and supervision to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
  • Quality Management: Develop and implement quality management programs for social services, including assessing and analyzing staff development needs, developing and presenting educational services, and managing departmental budget and costs.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships: Collaborate with human resources to manage employee performance issues and safety and risk management, and identify community resources and collaborate with community organizations to develop new programs and services.
  • Grant Writing and Development: Participate in writing and developing grant proposals to secure funding for social services programs and services.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree in Social Work from an institution accredited by the Council of Social Work Education.
  • Experience: Minimum three (3) years of clinical social work experience and two (2) years of management experience.
  • Licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California) required.
  • Skills: Demonstrated ability to utilize knowledge, principles, and practices of fiscal and program management, and ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: One (1) year of social work supervision experience in an acute hospital setting.
