Primary Objective

The Poultry Processing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the effective management of departmental operations, ensuring that processes, personnel, and resources are effectively coordinated to meet established targets related to quality, efficiency, and safety.

Shift Details
Day Shift
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that production orders are completed and that staffing levels are appropriate on a daily basis, adhering to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Production Practices (GPPs).
  • Monitor product quality and packaging specifications, implementing corrective actions for defects and pursuing necessary enhancements while complying with food safety regulations.
  • Achieve departmental performance metrics including BMPH (Birds per Minute per Hour), Cost per Pound, PPMH (Pounds per Minute per Hour), and A Grade percentage.
  • Adhere to Human Resources and Safety policies and procedures, ensuring timely completion of time-off requests and safety training.
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Operations Management, or Business is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience is required, with poultry industry experience being advantageous.
  • Knowledge and experience with HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) are essential.
  • Familiarity with USDA sanitation regulations and pre-operation guidelines is necessary.
