Maintaining a positive and professional environment is crucial, especially in the absence of management.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all duties associated with Sales Associates and General Utility Workers.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to inform the team about daily tasks, special guests, safety protocols, and other essential information for smooth operations.
- Possess extensive knowledge of the local area to assist guests effectively.
- Ensure all customers receive a warm welcome upon entering the store.
- Train Sales Associates and General Utility Workers to foster a team dedicated to exceptional customer service.
- Manage store operations in the absence of management, addressing customer relations issues promptly and professionally.
- Handle customer complaints directly, ensuring swift and effective resolutions.
- Maintain inventory records, tracking out-of-stock items and potential shortages.
- Order merchandise from suppliers to meet customer demand efficiently.
- Conduct monthly safety inspections and document incidents as necessary.
- Ensure the store remains clean and inviting at all times.
- Compile daily cash and sales reports using Microsoft Excel and various Point of Sale systems.
- Oversee the nightly closing process, ensuring cash balances with daily sales.
- Assist with payroll coordination and accuracy, ensuring timely reporting.
- Support management in scheduling staff in line with labor budgets and assigning tasks effectively.
- May participate in the hiring process for Sales Associates and General Utility Workers.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail is preferred.
- Strong mathematical skills are necessary for managing sales reports and audits.
- Must be of legal age to handle alcohol.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service is required where applicable.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Fluency in the native language, both spoken and written, is essential.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications is required.
- Ability to operate various equipment, including photocopiers, calculators, and Point of Sale systems.
- Professional appearance and demeanor are expected at all times.
This position may involve physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and extended periods of walking or standing. Uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
