Responsibilities
The Clinical Transition Educator plays a vital role in offering ongoing educational assistance, training, and mentorship to newly hired nurses within the clinical environment. This position is essential for facilitating a seamless transition into practice by providing unit-specific support and coordinating resources tailored to each new nurse's needs during and after their orientation.
The Clinical Transition Educator acts as a crucial link between educational initiatives and clinical management, ensuring that new nurses are effectively assessed and supported throughout their orientation process. By identifying specific needs and performance metrics in real-time, the educator can address knowledge and skill gaps through the strategic coordination of available resources. Qualifications
Education, Experience, and Training
1. Must possess a valid and current Registered Nurse license issued by the State.
2. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire and must be maintained.
3. A minimum of two years of acute care experience in Behavioral Health is necessary.
4. At least one year of experience as a preceptor is required.
5. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
