Position Overview:

The role entails overseeing all HVAC-R systems within the healthcare facility, serving as the primary expert for the Building Automation System (BAS).

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:
    • High School Diploma is essential; further education in commercial HVAC-R is advantageous.
  • Experience Requirements:
    • A minimum of a High School diploma or GED is mandatory.
    • Relevant coursework in refrigeration, electrical systems, blueprint interpretation, mathematics, and engineering principles is preferred.
    • At least 3-5 years of experience in commercial HVAC and refrigeration service is required.
    • Basic proficiency in computer operations is necessary.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
    • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
  • Licenses and Certifications:
    • EPA Certification is mandatory.
    • A valid and unrestricted driver's license for Alaska is required.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient knowledge of boilers, chillers, commercial water heating systems, refrigeration, and both heating and cooling systems.
  • Supervisory Duties: Not applicable.
