Job Summary

The YWCA Of Eastern Union County is seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to lead the Survivor Representation Project, a new initiative aimed at providing comprehensive support services to survivors of domestic violence. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the program, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Collaborate with the Office on Violence Against Women and technical assistance team to develop the parameters of the program and establish necessary structures and supports.
  • Program Management: Oversee the implementation of the program, including coordinating regular meetings with stakeholders, maintaining case records, and ensuring compliance with funder reporting requirements.
  • Client Services: Refer victims to legal services and other support resources, and provide general support and guidance to clients.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in monthly project team meetings, weekly Family Justice Center meetings, and weekly supervision meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration with team members.
  • Training and Professional Development: Complete 40-hour Domestic Violence training and participate in regular staff meetings and trainings to enhance knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as social work, law, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of experience working in the legal services or human services field, with at least one year of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of computer programs, including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel, and bilingual English/Spanish skills a plus.
Agency Responsibilities
  • Community Engagement: Attend and participate in community and board of director meetings as needed.
  • Representation: Represent the Agency to other organizations as assigned.
  • Committee Work: Participate in external committees as appropriate.
  • Staff Meetings: Participate in regular staff meetings and trainings.
