Key Responsibilities- Source and purchase aerospace fasteners and parts
- Analyze data to determine feasibility of buying products and establish price objectives
- Compile information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes
- Confer with suppliers and analyze suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules
- Review proposals, negotiate prices, select or recommend suppliers, analyze trends, follow up orders placed, verify delivery, approve payment, and maintain necessary records
- May prepare bid packages
- Deliver on savings and inventory requirements as per the commodity and business strategies
- Conduct market analysis and implement long-term agreements in accordance with business strategies to deliver on savings and inventory requirements
- Use business analysis to determine if orders need to be placed to meet global procurement requirements
- Select suppliers, negotiate pricing, issue purchase orders, re-align deliveries, follow up, and expedite as necessary
- Responsible for analyzing assigned part numbers and queue management
- Work closely with Sales department on customer requests and requirements to determine best course of action
- Work cross-functionally and with suppliers on payment issue resolution
- Collaborate with Quality department on defective or unacceptable goods and determine appropriate course of action
- Complete actions as necessary to resolve issues
- 4-6 years of related work experience
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System experience
- Advanced negotiations skills
- Intermediate analytical skills
- Professional/interpersonal verbal & written communication skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency
- Basic presentation skills
- Advanced commodity / product knowledge
- Experience with cost modeling / Cost driver structure
- General knowledge of Aerospace compliance and regulations
- Education: Bachelor's Degree – Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field of study
- 6-8 years of related work experience preferred
- APICS Certified in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM), preferred
