Job Summary:
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and managing all procurement activities, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of high-quality raw materials, ingredients, and other supplies necessary for our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and monitor their performance.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, Sales & Marketing, and Production departments to understand and meet their procurement needs.
- Ensure the timely delivery of materials and services to support production schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, supplier contracts, and performance metrics.
- Monitor market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes to identify potential risks and opportunities in the supply chain.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Resolve any issues related to procurement and supplier performance promptly and effectively.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Procurement/Buyer or Supply Chain Role, preferably in the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or food industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software, MRP/ERP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain management, procurement best practices, and industry standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of the nutraceutical industry (preferred).
