Job Title: Swim Aide
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Swim Aide at the Oak Square YMCA. As a Swim Aide, you will assist certified YSL Aquatic Instructors during swim lessons, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for our members.
Responsibilities:
* Assist aquatics instructors during swim classes, maintaining a professional image and manner consistent with the YMCA mission and goals.
* Be prepared for class, having all equipment available and ready prior to swim class, and assist in putting away all equipment after swim classes.
* Maintain a clean and safe pool environment at all times, engaging in active listening with members to build relationships and understand their goals and interests.
* Attend mandatory monthly in-service training and twice-per-year association trainings, and may be required to work one-on-one with individual students during group classes.
Requirements:
* Must be 15 years of age to 15 years and 11 months of age.
* No experience necessary.
Physical Demands:
* Physically and verbally able to interact with members and staff.
* May be required to be in the pool for an extended period of time.
* At times, able to lift up to 50 lbs.
