Job Description

Position Title: F Shift Equipment Maintenance Specialist

Overview: As an Equipment Maintenance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of production machinery and supporting the overall operational workflow of the facility. Your responsibilities will encompass identifying and replacing faulty components, collaborating with fellow technicians on intricate repairs, diagnosing various technical challenges, and configuring packaging machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and adhere to BRC and food safety standards.
  • Manage Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) protocols.
  • Oversee parts requisitions and supervise the repair of spare equipment.
  • Guide operators through the preventive maintenance process.
  • Assist in production activities and uphold cleanliness standards in your designated work area.

Essential Skills:

  • Technical Skills: Proficient mechanical abilities.
  • Electrical Knowledge: Basic understanding of electrical systems, including HDMI's, fault codes, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Equipment Familiarity: Experience with packaging machinery setup.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Effective communication abilities.
  • Capability to instruct, mentor, and support colleagues.

Employment Type: This is a permanent role.

Work Environment: This position is fully on-site. You will operate in a climate-controlled setting, frequently around machinery that may reach temperatures above 300°F. The role requires physical stamina, including walking, standing, and climbing for extended periods, as well as lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs. Shifts typically run from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with schedules including Sunday through Tuesday and alternating Saturdays. Overtime opportunities are available but not obligatory.
