Maintenance Reliability Specialist

The Maintenance Reliability Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of equipment and processes within our manufacturing environment.
As a key member of our operations team, this individual will be responsible for developing and implementing predictive and preventative maintenance strategies that minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Key Responsibilities:- Direct and supervise a team of maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems, apparatus, and components of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Schedule and assign employees to daily tasks of maintaining production equipment via work orders, ensuring timely completion and follow-up.
- Provide leadership and support to guide employees in testing malfunctioning machinery using test equipment and discuss malfunctions with other maintenance workers to properly diagnose issues.
- Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
- Access existing equipment and process deficiencies, working with other operation team members, including process engineers, to modify equipment and/or processes to achieve optimal performance.
- Manage the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment, initiating reordering when necessary.
- Negotiate and develop relationships with vendors to ensure the best prices.
- Prepare reports, analyze data, and make recommendations for improving operations and solving maintenance-related problems.
- Ensure maintenance associates are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated to accomplish maintenance activities in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
- Manage the maintaining of a computerized maintenance management system for tracking work orders and maintenance history of production equipment.
- Track, analyze, and improve key maintenance metrics such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, and schedule compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Previous technical supervisory experience demonstrating the ability to manage.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical systems with electronic controls.
- Five years of electrical experience with manufacturing equipment.
- Five years of mechanical experience with manufacturing equipment.
- Digital controls troubleshooting experience.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to read specs and prints.
- Proficiency in using computer applications such as Word and Excel.
