Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mental Health Professional to join our team as a Family Support Specialist. The successful candidate will provide leadership and support in the development, implementation, and evaluation of family peer support activities. This role involves implementing program services and activities, including training, communication, and information dissemination. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mental health services and a passion for supporting families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and support in the development, implementation, and evaluation of family peer support activities
  • Implement program services and activities, including training, communication, and information dissemination
  • Work collaboratively with program staff to achieve objectives and performance measures of grant initiatives
  • Develop and deliver educational trainings to providers regarding effective family engagement and creating organizational cultures that support family-guided and family-directed involvement and collaboration
Requirements
  • A high school diploma and relevant human services or social services experience
  • A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required experience
  • Must be either a current or former patient of Mental Health
  • Family Peer Support Certification preferred
  • Per Requirements of SAMHSA grant, must have lived experience with a mental illness of a family member and have family mental health services
