As a Senior Environmental Planner at HDR, you'll play a critical role in shaping our company's impact on the environment. You'll be responsible for planning and directing medium- to large-size planning and environmental compliance projects, performing complex assignments, and preparing technical studies, permit applications, and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and direct environmental planning and compliance projects
  • Perform complex assignments and make independent decisions on problems and methods
  • Prepare and analyze technical studies, permit applications, and reports
  • Direct the work of others in completing required studies, documents, and reports
  • Demonstrate extensive public participation, agency coordination, planning, and programming experience
  • Develop project management, marketing, business development, and client management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AICP certification

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a closely related field
  • A minimum of 10 years of technical and/or field experience in complex environmental planning projects
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills
  • Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving, and research abilities
  • Technical and/or field experience dealing with environmental impact issues, associated permit processes, and documentation preparation/review
