Job Title:
Direct Support Professional II

Job Summary:

Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional II to support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their goals and living fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the needs and goals of each resident by participating in the development of Individual Program Plans (IPPs).
  • Assist clients with personal care, including grooming, bathroom needs, and changing undergarments and clothing as needed.
  • Pick-up and drop-off clients in company vans from/to their homes/facilities (if necessary).
  • Provide advocacy and support to clients in their daily routines, including taking them to visit family and friends, and encouraging socialization among peers.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of residents.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of professional or personal experience in caregiving (Preferred experience in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses with challenging behaviors).
  • Direct Support Professional Certificate Year 1 & Year 2 Required.
  • Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
