Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist II to join our team at NorthShore University HealthSystem. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, training and supervising students, and working closely with surgeons and radiologists to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiography and fluoroscopy, to produce high-quality images for medical diagnosis.
  • Train and supervise students in the radiology department, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Work closely with surgeons and radiologists to ensure accurate and timely imaging results, and to develop and implement effective imaging protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient imaging procedures, including patient information, imaging results, and any relevant medical history.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care and to identify opportunities for process improvement.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
  • Current ARRT registration with certification in Radiography and Illinois Emergency Management Agency, Dept of Nuclear Safety accreditation required.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • One year experience as a general radiographer with operating room experience or an NCH student Radiologic Technologist graduate with 3 months experience in surgery/OR required.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in the correct use of body mechanics preferred.
